Even though it's called a Spaghetti Western, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly was filmed in Spain, not Italy. The climactic three-way duel between the Good (Clint Eastwood), the Bad (Lee Van Cleef), and the Ugly (Eli Wallach) was filmed in northern Spain, near Burgos. We visited it in 2014 when it was in it's natural state. It has since been restored.
The Civil War scene where Blondie and Tuco blow up the bridge separating the armies was filmed a few miles away from the final duel at Sad Hill .
